COVID-19 UPDATE – JUNE 23RD 2020
The Welsh Government has announced that unless conditions change, then there will be a more significant relaxation of lockdown rules in Wales from Monday July 6th. The most significant of this for me is the lifting of the requirement to ‘Stay Local’, meaning that customers will be able to travel to the Brecon Beacons to do workshops and I will (subject to local restrictions) be able to travel to carry out workshops. As of 23rd June, the UK Government has also announced sufficient easing of the lockdown (from July 4th) to allow me to advertise courses more widely again, with accommodation likely to be available. I will have a Covid 19 protocol in place – again more details below
ONE TO ONE TUITION
The Welsh Government has relaxed the 5 mile rule to allow travel to Individual Instruction. I can therefore restart One to One Tuition as from this Monday 22nd June. However, there will be restrictions in place to maintain social distancing requirements. I’ll go over this in detail if you’re looking at doing a One to One session. If you’d like to book, or have a gift voucher outstanding, please contact me to arrange this. Please note that all gift vouchers have a 6 month extension on the deadline date originally given to you
My regular group workshops will recommence with the Gower Sunflowers Workshop on 1st August (I have no workshops planned in July). However, because of postponed workshops and other logstical changes, I’m having to rearrange my schedule a little for the rest of the year and will be removing a number of workshops; replacing them with postponed workshops from the spring. I’m currently working on this; however, it won’t affect the date or availability of any workshop for which I currently have bookings, so your booking is unaffected. Again, please note that all gift vouchers have a 6 month extension on the deadline date originally given to you.
There are obviously going to be some differences in my courses and workshops. As restrctions stand, a few things listed below:
We’ll need to keep social distance between us. This will be 1 metre unless particular participants request a greater distance
We’ll need to be in separate cars at all times (excluding those who have travelled together)
I’ll have hand sanitiser available and all surfaces you are likely to touch in any indoor sessions will be desanitised before and during sessions
Indoor elements to courses or workshops will be kept to a minimum
Instruction on the use of camera controls will be kept at a 1 metre distance
Feel free to use PPE (facemasks and gloves) throughout of course, although these won’t be used as standard
Full details will be provided before the Course or Workshop. Also the situation will no doubt continue to change as time passes. We all hope that it’ll carry on being in the right direction, but either way, I’ll continue to follow government guidance.
