A Journey through the Landscapes of Wales
Wales Cymru – a Collection of my Favourite Personal Images
Thank you so much for your interest in my book. If you decide to buy a copy, I hope that by the time you reach the end, you’ll know more about me, my work and my approach to photography.
However, much more importantly, you will perhaps gain an insight into how much Wales has to offer in its variety of landscape. This nation in which we live, work or visit provides unique photographic opportunities: from the natural to the man-made, from mountain to coast, at all times of day and throughout the seasons.
While it’s impossible to capture everything in a single book, each image has been selected to reflect a different characteristic of our wonderful country, in terms of both landscape and geographical spread as well as accommodating many of my personal choices.
The book covers 4 main regions of Wales, each with their own unique character and variety of unique, special places:
- The South Wales Coastline from the Severn Crossing to Pembrokeshire
- Bannau Brycheiniog – the Brecon Beacons
- Elan Valley, Mid Wales and the Borders
- Eryri (Snowdonia) and North Wales
Whether you live in, visit or simply wish to explore the Welsh Landscape through my book, I hope you enjoy my photography.
All copies purchased directly through this website will be signed by me.

Group Photography Training
Photography Workshops for groups
We run both Day Workshops and 2/3 day Short Breaks both for beginners and those with more experience. Beginners courses assume no previous knowledge: all you need is a DSLR or Bridge Camera and a willingness to learn. Intermediate/Expert courses assume some previous knowledge and experience and you'll normally have some additional equipment such as a tripod.
We don't just photograph landscapes - we cover cityscapes, heritage, wildlife, people...and whatever else is around!
"Nigel is an excellent and extremely knowledgeable tutor who is able to tailor his training to the assembled group. Despite adverse weather conditions and a wide range of abilities and experience on my course, Nigel delivered value for money for every single person whilst keeping the day enjoyable. I would recommend Creative Photography Wales to anyone, whatever their level of photography"
