Group Landscape Photography Workshops for up to 6 people

October 2023 Update: Workshop Schedule for 2024 to be added shortly but please Contact Me for 2024 dates if not currently listed

We run a range of Landscape Photography Workshops for up to 6 people at great locations throughout the UK. We run both Day Workshops and Short Breaks of between 2 and 5 Days for photographers at all levels.

The majority of our workshops assume some previous knowledge and experience.

For the last 18 months workshops have been unpredictable to say the least, but hopefully with Covid seemingly finally disappearing, things are gradually getting back to normal and in 2022 i’m expecting a pretty normal agenda!

As well as a camera and lenses, you’ll normally have some additional equipment such as a tripod (though these are available if required). However, while this is important on Day Workshops, on longer workshops you’ll learn plenty of tips and new skills as you go along so in some respects your starting point matters less with longer workshops.

Please CONTACT US if you require advice on specific workshop that you have in mind.

Beginners courses assume no previous knowledge: all you need is a DSLR or Bridge Camera and a willingness to learn (dedicated day workshops are available specifically for beginners). Please see details here

Finally our workshops are diverse; it’s more about learning principles than subject matter. So whether it’s landscapes, cityscapes, heritage, abstracts, wildlife, people…and whatever else is around, you’ll learn some great skills and develop your creativity! However, if architecture is more your style, come along to one of our London, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool or Birmingham workshops

“Excellent tuition in a superb location”

“I attended last weekend’s landscape photography course in the Brecon Beacons along with two other photographers.

Perhaps the best recommendation I can give is that I wish I could go straight back out on another of Nigel’s workshops! We covered a range of environments – mountain, moorland, waterfalls, industrial heritage – from sunrise to sunset and tried night photography even though conditions weren’t favourable.

Nigel was tireless in his enthusiasm, energy and encouragement. We also had time to review our photographs and do some post processing.

For me, the main challenges came from switching my camera to manual settings, using back button focus and using filters.

The advantage of a 3 day workshop was that there was time to get the hang of it! I was a bit worried about my physical fitness for some of the locations, but I was able to plod up Pen Y Fan without feeling under pressure to hurry.

I was promised expert tuition and that is what I received – all very enjoyable and at a very reasonable rate”.

“Isle of Skye 3 Day Photography Workshop”

“I joined Nigel for a 3 day workshop on Isle of Skye to improve my creative and composition skills to build on my existing technical knowledge and all of my objectives were definitely achieved.

I had little experience of Skye but Nigel was able to optimise the time available to experience the isle and at the same time improve my skills and get the most from the interesting and times dramatic whether to get shots I’m really happy with.

Our base for the 3 days was in a great location with stunning views right on the doorstep.

Throughout the 3 days Nigel’s energy and desire to pass on knowledge and skills was great. I would thoroughly recommend attending one of Nigel’s workshops, and it will also help with your fitness!”
