Explore the beautiful South Wales Coastline and Valleys with this flexible workshop
South Wales is a diverse area, from the drama, history and heritage of the industrial South Wales Valleys to some of the most beautiful coastline in the UK. This workshop allows you to explore this area with a choice of 2 or 3 days in the area. You can choose either a day in the South Wales Valleys and a day exploring the coastline, or if you prefer, 2 days at the coast from The Glamorgan Heritage Coast to the Gower peninsula
South Wales Valleys – programmed for the Friday: We Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site at Blaenavon. We visit the Mining Museum at Big Pit and explore the area. We also visit traditional Welsh Mining Villages, contemporary features, monuments and historic buildings, all set within a unique and often dramatic landscape. Please see our example Workshop Itinerary for full details
Glamorgan Heritage Coast – programmed for the Saturday: There are glorious landscape views, dramatic cliffs at Nash Point and the architecture of Penarth Pier, You’ll find these workshops during the winter months with late dawns, early sunsets and great light. Please see our Workshop Itinerary for full details
Gower Peninsula – programmed for the Sunday: This fabulous stretch of coastline includes Mumbles Bay, Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili, some of the most amazing coastal locations in the UK and in the case of Three Cliffs Bay, my personal favourite! Please see our Workshop Itinerary
All these workshops are generally run in the shorter days of the year because of light direction for south and west facing coastal photography
The workshop fee is for tuition only.
